The Big Painting challenge.... BBC 1  6-00pm today

It's like masterchef but for artists Very Happy ....well worth a watch,the last series was excellent

Ooh we will watch this. Thanks for letting us know.

We always enjoy Landscape/Portrait Artist of the Year with Frank Skinner and Joan Bakewell hosting. It is on Sky Arts though so some might not have access to that.

I quite like art & been to a few exhibitions.
Landscapes & portraits are not really my thing but I like paintings of animals.
One of my favourites is Monarch of the Glen by Sir Edward Landseer - a big red stag on a Scottish hillside.
I found one once at a car boot sale which was printed on a piece of polished mahogany.
My cousin who is an excellent artist did one from a photo for me of my lurcher with a rabbit in her mouth.
It's the only one in existence as no copies were taken.
My ex wife still has them both.
