Got to give the man his due in so much as he has given wholehearted service to us, his country and previous club.  My favourite memory of him will be the celebration between him and Wes Brown when we beat ManU in the League Cup semi. He gave us damn good service for the price we paid.

100 caps for his country, and a chest full of Euro, Champion, FA Cup, League Cup medals sum up his career very nicely.  With his coaching badge under his belt I for one hope he turns out to be a top manager.  If we have long term plans we could well to taking him on in a coaching role and groom him ourselves.

It's sad when someone gets dissed for getting old and past their best, puts most of us on here in our place.  Sad

All in all I think he's been a good servant to the club.
His legs have gone & he's now slower than a cargo ship but I wish the man well.
We all slow down as we get older.

Sadly that's the way of many.O'Shea was signed purley as back up this season but circumstances have seen him a first team regular. His legs have gone but we have been better with him than without him.

Many of our fans proclaim that all we ask of our players is that they give their best, he has but still he is slaughtered and I agree with you Dave, very sad.

If he is carried from the field he will be hoping the keepers are not involved or he will be dropped.

O'Shea not ready to hang up his boots just yet - but will he stay at [ltr]#safc[/ltr], or move elsewhere?

John O'Shea will play on, says Chris Coleman - at Sunderland or elsewhere

As I said above JoS has been a good (If not great) player.. he is now unfortunately just a shade quicker than me. Whether he manages us in the future or a player/manager somewhere else is his next step.. Would be my guess
