Sunderland v Preston North End
Sat 17 Mar
KO 15.00

Believe it or not but IMO this is a must win game, there I have said it, bet you have not heard that before?

Sadly I think a lot more will have now given up on going to games so I expect to see many more empty chairs and unless we put on a good performance the atmosphere could well turn toxic, it wont help but it is understandable.

I am again looking forward to it, maybe it's a shortage of brain cells or my masochistic personality.

Whatever it is I look forward to seeing how Colemen reacts because his future and reputation is now on the line. His stubbornness over Fletcher, the lad is simple not producing, however we look at it he is getting chances in every game and he is not taking them so will Cookie finally admit defeat?

In goal he has two options left and unlike many I would not play the polish lad, yes you are right, I'm
not even attempting his name. It could make him but putting him into the cauldron that is the Stadium of Light right now could also break him so Camp it is.

Be brave Cookie and drop O'Shea,he has been immense for us IMO but time has caught him up, go with a back 4 and bring back Clark-Salter with Kone.

Up front is easy, Maja and Asoro, no 4-3-3, we must win so 4-4-2, I would and we need a win rather than a not lose.

With Mathews and Oviedo making up the back 4 we are left with the midfield 4 to find, be super brave and drop Cattermole, again, IMO, his time is up. Honeyman never gave up at QPR so he must play so 3 from what is left, any chance of LuaLua ever being fit?

So I enjoy seeing who starts and enjoy watching how each players reacts to the pressure.

I would play Stryjek in goal.

I would prefer somebody who might thrive or buckle under pressure than somebody who is just absolutely crap.

Around us

WOLVES V BURTON
BRUM V HULL
BARNSLEY V MILLWALL
BOLTON V VILLA

That said I suspect it is 3 from us, Burton, Brum and Barnsley.

I can see both Barnsley and Brum getting results today so unless we get all 3 points we could be cut adrift to the point of no return.

I can't see an increased crowd and the crowd will turn if we dont put a performance on.

Just another day at the fun factory but hey, it's what Saturdays are made for.

Why not put Rodwell on the bench and have him continually warming up by running the line. That would provide some decent entertainment this cold afternoon.

I would like to say a win but there is still something obviously wrong over there so I fear another loss and another moody walk back over the bridge.
