Mr Rodwell

Post  cyprussyd on 2018-03-08, 8:33 am

I know he has been done to death and there is nothing new to add but our present predicament just highlights how unprofessional  and selfish this man is.

OK he has never shown us the player we thought we bought but we all know there is a player in there somewhere, only one person is responsible for that player not staking a regular starting place and that's Rodwell himself.

At the weekend we travel to London and Coleman is struggling to find centre backs and in Rodwell we have a player who claims he could be an England international centre back, we may not agree with him but how a man can sit taking 70,000 a week and watching the club who pay him that struggle is beyond me and I know beyond anyone reading this.

His contract will eventually run out and he will leave us a rich young man, rich I suspect way beyond anything we can imagine but, he will find like many of us have found in life, money is a good thing but money without respect, dignity, morality and a clear conscience is of little value. You can have many houses but only one home, only drive one car at a time and only enjoy so many holidays.

A few years without playing and the reputation Rodwell is making for himself in football would suggest that clubs will sign Adam Johnston before him and I'm sure Johnston will never play again in the UK.

I actually feel a little sorry for Rodwell, he seems to be very badly advised and far from smart to have boxed himself into being the pariah he has become.

So many young men would give just about everything for the opportunity of being a professional footballer and to see a young man throw away that opportunity for 30 pieces of silver, surely the people around him and love him have pointed out how foolish he is.

Right, thats got that of my chest, have a good day everyone.

If I had a 9mm pistol I'd happily blow his brain out & take the consequences.
Only problem with that is, I don't think he has a brain.
I disagree with Syd. I think he's being very well advised.
Biggest leech on sport ever. Joe Stalin had more ethics than this lazy bastard.
I hope his cock drops off, falls down his trouser leg & into his shoes.

Well advised if his only motivation is money but badly advised when it comes to his career.

Sadly Billy, somebody will, even Lee Hughes is still playing after spending 6 years in prison for causing death by dangerous driving   Sad

Indeed, you are correct sadly.
I'll make a bet now he ends up at a Pulis type club.
I bet Pardew would have the bastard as well.
Saddest thing is, is not the fact we'll have to give him away.
It's his lack of self respect.

The club has lost out both with money and having a player we could use.

The player has the money and sadly  I suspect he will play again.. he has of course lost a lot of respect

All in all he is to many of us fans an absolute tw@t looking at our present plight

That would be justice.

I have lost all respect for Rodwell but I'm quite proud to say I dont want him dead, raped or indeed come to any physical harm.

Wouldn't bother me if the bin truck hit the tw*t.
 Would save people some work.
The bin lads could just chuck the bastard in the back & drop him off at the tip.
Unless it's recycling week of course. Then what would we do?
Any suggestions on how to recycle Roswell?

There are too many issues about him to identify the main problem with him but I suspect he is just not as good as the promise he showed early on at Everton.  IIRC ManC signed him when they needed to have a certain amount of English players in their squad and they always pay top price anyway.

So far we have had Poyet, Dick A, Sam, Moyes, Grayson and now Coleman who cannot find a position for him or talk him into giving more for the sake of his team.  There were times when I felt sorry for him because he got on the wrong side of some supporters and his confidence was shot but, as so many feel, he could have moved on for his own good and pride.

He is now a write-off but it will be interesting to see who takes him on as a multi-millionaire with no particular ability to offer as a player or person. As somebody has already said Scottish Dive II teams are short.
