Food shortages

Post  Billy D on 2018-03-04, 5:37 pm

Due to the continuing inclement weather have any others among you found you supermarkets running low?
My local Tesco runs out of bread as soon as it comes in as people are panic buying.
Staple foodstuff like butter, milk, vegetables, bacon, eggs are a bit short on supply around these parts.
Even stuff like cans of beans are flying off the shelves.

Some shelves looking sparse at Tesco on Friday  but I got all I needed and again at the Coop in Coxhoe today. I just get what I need and will be at Asda Spennymoor tomorrow for my weekly shop.

Our shops were empty on Friday but no one had any deliveries for 3 days with the A1 being shut. It was like those post apocalyptic things you see on TV people scavenging!

Things will get back to normal now the thaw has set in. But just shows how little it takes with shops depending on deliveries from all over the country or even the world.

No not good at all.
I trust everyone on here at least's got plenty of tins etc. to see them through so they don't need to venture out

Snow is virtually gone already except for huge piles where they have ploughed the roads. It was really bad though and glad it is over after only a few days. Could not have coped for much longer.
