12 Games

Post  cyprussyd on Tue Feb 27, 2018 3:35 pm

Yes after all the lows and very, very occasional highs it all comes down to 12 games to save ou season, future and possible survival.

MARCH
Millwall away
Villa home
QPR away
Preston home
Derby away

APRIL
Sheffield Wed home
Leeds away
Norwich home
Reading away
Burton home
Fulham away

MAY
Wolves home

Can we stay up well yes, play with the passion and intensity of the last two games and we will get the points needed but can we do that?

We need our defenders to tighten up a wee bit and out goalkeeper, whoever that is, to stop making stupid mistakes. Some luck on the injury front and in games.

Being an optimist I will of course keep on believing, the pessimists had us dead and buried months ago, what a way to live life.

We have 6 home games left, yes just 6 and it would be fantastic if our missing fans came back for those 6 games, if the pessimists are right you may not even have to do all 6. A full stadium in full voice just may make the difference and at least you could say, whatever happens, I played my part.

The good news is we also have 6 away games and we know the travelling fans WILL play their part, they always do.

Only one or two "six pointers" among that lot so it is down to coach and players now.  A win or two would lift everybody to start hoping again and get behind the team.

I am still mulling over coming for the Villa game. I want to support the manager and the team in person for the first time in ages but the distance, the awful roads and the weather forecast make it a bit of a trial. 50/50 at moment Smile

I expect a minimum of 16, hoping for 20 and praying for 36.
