MIDDLESBROUGH winger Adama Traore was sent off for "shoving an opponent in the face" before clashing with his own team-mate on the sidelines.
Traore was involved in an off-the-ball incident in the 37th minute with Sunderland's Bryan Oviedo that saw the referee brandish the red card.

The Spaniard then proceeded to lambast the fourth official as he came to the side of the pitch, so much so that Boro sub Adam Clayton tried to calm him down.
But Traore had clearly lost his head, and shoved Clayton out of the way before making his way down the tunnel.
Earlier in the game Traore was the recipient of a crude challenge that earned Sunderland defender Jake Clarke-Salter his marching orders.
The on-loan Chelsea man slid in and horribly mis-timed his challenge that sent Traore flying into the air.

For Middlesbrough's Adam Traore, it was a bumpy landing

Earlier in the game, Joel Asoro had given relegation-threatened Sunderland the lead after just 11 minutes.
But Middlesbrough levelled things up through Patrick Bamford four minutes into the second half, and went ahead for the first time when Grant Leadbitter netted a penalty five minutes later.
But the drama still wasn't finished.
Back came Sunderland to level the game up at 2-2 in the 58th minute.
There was still more to come.
Bamford notched his second of the game in the 68th minute, and looked a good bet to hold out for victory.
But Callum McManaman had other ideas and in the sixth minute of injury time he levelled the game up in the most dramatic of fashion.
