The result, red cards and goal times look tasty.  Look forward to the after match comments on here when everybody is home from the game.

For all who decided not to go you missed a cracker and yes we only got a draw.IMO a fair result, but from start to finish we fought and fought and a goal in the 96th minute shows that we never gave in.

Our red card I cant comment on because I have no idea if it was a bad fowl, I know the Boro players surrounding the ref and telling him to show a card looked bad.

There red card again I could not see.

All of the Boro goals, well certainly two could have been avoided but that may be petty.

  • Enjoyed the game
  • Always go down at 86 minutes to watch the end on TV, frightened of being pushed by the crowd on the steps.
  • The fans were IMO fantastic and a credit, I wish more of you would go, it does make a difference.

We can still do it, tough I know but still there.

Sounded a cracker and the fans did their bit. Well done all.

Benno was grumbling like hell at Camp for the penalty (I think) and JOS for their third? He is not a fan of Camp AT ALL.

I haven't seen it yet but Benno thought our red card was just a yellow at first but he said it was a bit naughty so probably right in the end, and theirs definitely was a red.

Sounds like the ref was a bit card happy with us getting 6 yellow cards (and a red) so we will be fined for that.

Hope McNair is okay - sounded really bad when he got injured, and they thought he had done his knee again, so we were all surprised he stayed on for most of the first half.

In the end feel happier tonight than have for a while as we may have started to address the SOL hoodoo. I loved how we fought and fought and cannot argue with the spirit they showed today. If only we had defended better we would have won. Cookie must be tearing his hair out at the soft goals and penalty but I see progress and that's all we can ask, Well not ALL, a few extra points would go down quite well starting with Millwall please Very Happy

Good to read about a fighting committed performance that we have not seen for a while which could contribute to more self-belief and better results.

Can't get any of the broadcast video about the game until it is on SAFsee later.

We fought back v Bristol City.
Didn't give much inspiration v Brentford or Bolton did it?
I'd even bet against us v Burton Albion.

Anyway, have a nice night everyone.
I'm gonna have a couple of pink gins with soda water.

Well I just saw our sending off and it was a blatant red card Shocked

Never saw the Traore incidient but Ch5 highlights show said something about him having his eye poked before he retaliated.

Camp should have done better going for the ball when he gave away the penalty, so understand Benno's dismay at less than quality keeping.

Bamford's first goal was quite skilful, made our defence look like they were standing still, oh wait... they WERE standing still! And my goodness JOS was oh so slow for his second and their third.

Macca getting booked for taunting Tony Pulis was ridiculous, I would fine him a weeks wages.

But the lads on Ch5 thought it was good game with lots of incident. Just a shame it didn't end up 4-2 to us and we would all be ecstatic Very Happy

But, given other results, and looking at the table, we are getting stranded at the bottom of the league, with Hull and Barnsley both having a game in hand on us  [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Well stop that worrying H it does no good.

I sit in pensioners row, lots of walking sticks but lot's of miles under our belts watching Sunderland and there is a general acceptance that what will be will be and most of us will be there next season come what may.

We found yesterday a very good day with lots of excitement, a day to enjoy so we milk it and enjoy it.
The many bad days are met with shrugs of shoulders and shaking of heads.

I can put it all in context very easily, a man who sat two seats down from me, a very good friend of lesmack, died a few weeks ago so his days of suffering in health and watching Sunderland are over.Les introduced me to his widow before last weekends game.

I hope and pray we stay up and TBH we could, I can see lots of twists and turns to come but if we dont we dont.

The real sad thing about relegation for me will be the loss of players like Asoro who I cant see us keeping.

So chin up H, look forward to May and your babies coming home.
