@JHunterChron
Don't panic! We're into extra time. Announcements still expected. The 11pm deadline is for deals to be registered with the FA. [ltr]#safc[/ltr]

Don’t class it as a good window in fact it’s poor scrambling about at the last minute and not getting who the manager wanted, fingers are going to be pointed at Bain after all he’s had a month , hope to be proved wrong but don’t think it’s enough to keep us up we needed another striker - feel really disappointed let down and rather low at the moment, this was one of the most important windows in the clubs history and we under achieved in that

I'm not down because I have no idea how the new players will do and if the deals all go through I think Bane and Coleman have done well with nothing to spend.

Sorry Syd but it’s simply not good enough we seem to have gone into panic mode and are now having to have the 3rd and 4th choices, thought Cc said we were definitely brining in 2 strikers I was really positive after the hull game but last nights performance was nothing short of shocking, if u look at the players we’ve brought in none of them were first choice for their clubs, just goes to show how much we have fallen all down to short........starting to get angry now more than disappointed, just goes to show what a staged sharad the interview he gave a couple of months ago about Sunderland being a seventh place pl team, he couldn’t stop grinning to himself thinking what a bunch of mugs

I can't see why Bain is getting the blame for players not signing for us. I think the main problem is our league position. Most of the players we have been linked with have looked at where we are, think 'No thanks' and sign for clubs who are not in the relegation places.

We all know that we're in the shit because of Short. We also know that we'd have no money in this transfer window. I accepted that a while back and just hoped CC could get in who he wanted. That's never easy and how does a club in our position attract players? At least we've got some in and they could be great - let's hope. CC wouln't buy any old shite I trust him that much. I'm sure he knows what he's bringing. The  crowd must roar for the new  players first time out and help them to a good start.

Camp and fletcher seem confirmed and appears we now have 4 goalkeepers. Hope this fletcher is more productive than the last one.

Do you always have to mention some aspect of your less than interesting sex life. This is a football forum not a sex chat site. There was a time Billy that you made interesting posts about football and yes I agree we have not had a lot of success in these past few seasons but I'm sure that I'm not the only one here that is getting somewhat bored with you childish fantasies.

Re: Transfers Deadline Day Thread

Post  cyprussyd on 2018-02-01, 4:04 am

The window is now closed and signings confirmed and I say well done Bane and Cookie.

Yes we did not get our first choice in many cases and yes most are loans because we are skint and in debt but how easy is it to get players in, a history of failure, bottom 3, poor squad and skint. To get anyone in is IMO a miracle.

Further more I know very little about any of the new players so feel it's a little early to start writing them off. Bane inherited a mess, none of his making. He is trying to clear up that mess and can only spend money if Short gives it to him, he made it very clear he wont, how is that Banes fault?
