Wednesday dawns and

Post  cyprussyd on 2018-01-17, 9:27 am

Here in Coxhoe the nerves are starting to kick in. If we dont get strikers in by Thursday at the latest it will be the same choice on Saturday against Hull and as we are playing better away this season and lost 4-0 on our last outing it does not bode well.

You know I can only function in a positive world but finding any positives today is an impossible task.

Can anyone cheer me up, hang on I have found a positive, Emmerdale and Corrie tonight.

I am afraid Ambridge in Borchester is the only soap I follow.

I keep trying to think of positives if as we assume the owner remains indifferent to our plight.

We do have some good young prospects and loans might bring in a few more. However we do need some battle hardened troops alongside them that cannot be brushed off the ball easily. Gibson in midfield was one such and Vaughan/ Gibson up front we need to replace them sooner rather than later

Catts is blown.

Positives well it is cold and it is not snowing... but all the twittering and the Itk's are not coming up with anything. Even my meagre sources in and around Sol and Sol seem to know nowt

Sunderland could be set for a boost ahead of hosting Hull City on Saturday as they hope to tie up a deal for Liverpool prospect Ben Woodburn.
The Black Cats are hopeful a loan deal can be brokered for the 18-year-old forward this week, who has made just one appearance for his parent club this season.
Sunderland are currently short on attacking options given Lewis Grabban’s decision to cut his loan at the Stadium of Light short earlier this month and the loss of James Vaughan to Wigan Athletic, leaving youngsters Josh Maja and Joel Asoro as the only strikers at the club.

As such, Chris Coleman is hoping to bolster his attacking options ahead of Saturday’s six-pointer against the Tigers by bringing Woodburn to the club, a deal Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is yet to give the green light.
Coleman is known to be an admirer of the youngster and is credited with awarded him his first international cap, while manager of the Wales national team.

Former City striker Jon Walters has also been linked with a move to Wearside this January, but the deal is unlikely to be concluded before the visit of Nigel Adkins’ side.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is believed to be keen on loaning out Walters, who has made just four substitute appearances since joining the club from Stoke City in summer, but may be waiting on the fitness of Chris Wood before letting the Republic of Ireland international leave the club.
