They are the pit and shipyard holiday months so we will be away, no luck have you. I have hired a caravan in Weston Super Mare for 8 weeks.

I must confess, I'm just a little bit scared. I've just had a phone call from a doctor saying that I need to go to A & E asap. They have found something on my lung from the scan last week.

Just back from the hospital, I have a pulmonary embolism which is blood clots on the lung

I have to inject myself daily in the tummy to thin the blood, I have to do this for 3 to 6 months

I feel quite relieved  it is dangerous but nothing like what I first feared   like

Just got my appointment to see the surgeon  Thursday 7th June at 0910.

Depending on how soon after that the operation is, it looks like my visit will be well into the new season.  like

My daughter had to do that daily injection thing for a month after her DVT and then was on warfarin for a further 15 months. When she was pregnant (both times) she had to inject herself daily from 12 weeks to 6 weeks after giving birth. She still has to do an injection before every long haul flight too. Nightmare - but better than the alternative eh?
