If you look at our team today, the number of academy kids playing and those on the bench.. . I wonder what the cost and wages are. Then you have  £10m and £70k a week saying he does not want to play for us but be CB for England.. utter disgrace
Heard some good stuff today following a meeting with Bain and Coleman last week and life is very uncomfortable right now for Mr Rodwell

Apart from everything else, the arrogance of the tosser thinking that he's good enough to play for England.

God knows we are not over blessed with talent but he is well down the pecking order.

This is a complete mess but surely the solution lies with Rodwell by changing his attitude and doing what the club wants on the field. Just read that he is contracted until 2019 so another 18 months of no game time should see him just about fit enough for Div 2.

He will be gone long before that

Sunderland outcast Jack Rodwell will consider a move abroad as he looks to resurrect his career.
The 27-year-old is out of favour at the Stadium of Light with Sunderland desperate to get his £70,000-a-week salary off their wage bill.
Boss Chris Coleman said on Friday that the former Everton and Manchester City midfielder “doesn’t want to play for Sunderland”.
Rodwell is keen to play but accepts he is not a part of Coleman’s plans.
Celtic have been linked with a move for the player but Rodwell will also study offers from the continent as he looks to get back on the pitch.
