Chris Coleman is in talks with Burnley about a surprise move for veteran striker Jon Walters.
Coleman wants warhorse Walters to lead the survival fight.
And he is negotiating a loan deal that could become permanent if the Black Cats stay up.
Republic of Ireland regular Walters has hardly featured for Burnley in an injury-hit campaign.
And Sunderland are hoping he could be interested in the chance to play regularly.
Coleman has lost already been dealt a huge blow this month with top scorer Lewis Grabban being recalled by Bournemouth

I would be happy with this, always liked him and he seems like the sort of character the team could really use right now like

A damn sight better than Vaughan and at least somebody with some muscle who will give defenders a hard time. Good signing as far as I am concerned.

Decent player and better than what we have ( not hard I know), bit injury prone now if we can keep him fit should be okay.
