So far so good

Post  vinkel on 2017-12-24, 12:11 pm

Cookie has gained 8 points from 6 games, carry that for the second half of the season will get us to 49 points. At the moment a better gd than the other 3 in the bottom 4.
I  feel that will be enough. Thoughts.

The old SAFC would have beaten Fulham and then LOST to the bottom team. We gained a point. Not ideal but a positive in my opinion.

Sheff U and Notts F will play football and attack us. We may just surprise them and pick up a few away points. I think we will.

Yes I confess I wondered if the old failing would happen yesterday and so we would lose badly!

As it happens we could have won.. . We needed creativity especially when they went down to 10 men. Instead of one the young ones perhaps A McGeady should have appeared
.  Hindsight of course

Oh the joys of management..

"Bring on the kids was the cry"

The kids came on but we could not score

"Should have brought McGeady on"

Not sure Mcgreedy would’ve made a difference when they went down to ten men they just shut the door, think bringing the kids on was the right choice fresh legs against tired defenders usually works.

Who knows... I do not know if AG  would have made a differene.. but in trying to break down Birmingham, we seemed to end up relying on a through pass from John O'Shea  Cool or  Love to complete a good cross... both unlikely occurrences
