Waiting for the game is fine mate just wish we weren't waiting for the three points.

Another weekend of Championship football is almost back upon us and it seems as though there should be some more cracking games to look out for.
Indeed, with the likes of Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest facing off and the small matter of the Steel City Derby, there’s plenty to take in over the weekend.
And, in keeping with that, Sunderland have a big game at home to Cardiff City as they try to kick-start their campaign against the high-flying Bluebirds.
The men from the Stadium of Light have not had a great time of things so far but they will feel as though it’s got to click soon and what better time to do it than against one of the most impressive sides so far this year?

Simon Grayson, then, will be hoping for just that and we reckon he’ll be returning to as full strength as possible in terms of his line-up this weekend – compared to their defeat against Everton in the EFL Cup.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]<a href="https://adserver.adtech.de/adlink/3.0/1639/6444299/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" target="_blank"><img src="https://adserver.adtech.de/adserv/3.0/1639/6444299/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" border="0" width="1" height="1"></a> [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] <a href="https://secserv.adtech.de/adlink/3.0/1639/6275680/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" target="_blank"><img src="https://secserv.adtech.de/adserv/3.0/1639/6275680/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" border="0" width="1" height="1"></a>
Indeed, we think that Lee Cattermole will come into the side to replace Darron Gibson whilst Callum McManaman and George Honeyman also start to add some creativity out wide.
Here’s how we think it’ll look:

Can't see nothing but an away win. We are in real free fall as I predicted before we kicked a ball. Really poor squad who will struggle next season in league 1.

I fully expect our team to come together and providing injury free, playing good decent winning football by November/Xmas time. There are a lot of new players there and some pretty decent skilful players. It takes time to gel build up understandings etc.

We were bottom when Keane took over and look what happened. Not expecting anything like that but fully expect to be well safe before the end of the season.

Great to read a positive view of the future, a view I agree with 100%.

FLW predicts the result of Sunderland v Cardiff City – Do you agree?

Two sides who have seen contrasting fortunes so far in the Championship take one another on this weekend as Sunderland host Cardiff City at the Stadium of Light.
The men from Wearside have not started well this season and are continuing to struggle in the Championship with them just above the relegation spots.
Cardiff, meanwhile, are up near the top of the league and could end the weekend in first if they manage to win at Sunderland and other results go their way in the other matches.
However, that might not be as easy as it sounds this weekend with the Bluebirds not exactly in the best recent form in the world.
Indeed, with Sunderland having not won for five games in all competitions and Cardiff not winning in three, it does seem as though a draw is the most likely result.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]<a href="https://adserver.adtech.de/adlink/3.0/1639/6444299/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" target="_blank"><img src="https://adserver.adtech.de/adserv/3.0/1639/6444299/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" border="0" width="1" height="1"></a> [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] <a href="https://secserv.adtech.de/adlink/3.0/1639/6275680/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" target="_blank"><img src="https://secserv.adtech.de/adserv/3.0/1639/6275680/0/16/ADTECH;loc=300" border="0" width="1" height="1"></a>
For sure, if there’s going to be a winner it is probably going to be the away side but you get the sense that they are just starting to find wins harder to come by now the games are piling up.
Sunderland, meanwhile, still need to click and so this one is more than likely going to end all-square.
Score Prediction: Sunderland 1-1 Cardiff City

I've given up on predictions myself. We could really do with a win but could we complain with a draw?

With the steady lack of interest in attending games I think we will be lucky to break the 25,000 mark today although the official attendance will be around 30,000.

For me on a selfish note the drop in numbers is good, I get home quicker but for an important game that could either add to our misery of kick start our season it's sad that so many are writing us off.

I go into the game with my usual optimism hoping for that elusive win but yes it wont be easy and may come down to luck more than skill but any port in a storm.

My guess is..
RUITER
MATHEWS  KONE  BROWNING  OVIEDO
CATTERMOLE  NDONG
MCMANAMAN  WILLIAMS  HONEYMAN
VAUGHAN

I'll be listening on the radio as usual....

After 8 games ...

Cardiff have scored 12 and conceded 7

We have scored 7 and conceded 12

Looks like a score draw to me..

Very Happy
