At the minute we aren't expected to win any of them mate, Hull will be wanting to give their fans something after getting humped 5 zip by a mediocre Derby side, tough one to go into on the back of 4 straight defeats and, even tougher to predict.

Well I do expect us to win our home games and I would not be shocked at an away defeat, despite our present form.

Being away may just take that bit of pressure off but how will we set up?

I feel sorry for SG, he has a new team to get to know and needs time and patience to sort things out. Unfortunately the past few years have caused many fans to fail to give him the time he needs and deserves!

Well being a simpleton I see things very simply Dave. For a number of seasons we have been in decline and fans in general have called for change and a fresh start, we now have it. Grayson, IMO, has done the undoable, brought in a new team on just over 1 mil but for that outlay you don't get top quality.

So we fans now have choices to make and to put it bluntly the choice is back or boo.

On Saturday we had a team with second or third choice players in some positions and 3 players in their first game.

I was told a story last night about half time on Saturday, the story goes that all hell broke out in the dressing room and the result was the,"Injury" to Kone, it did not help on Saturday but was last nights better performance the result?

For me its forget Short, yes we need rid but he will go when he goes, he is a distraction. Get to games if you can and don't boo but encourage all you can.

And above all don't give up, we have many games still to play and we have players ready to come back in, it only takes one win to start a run.

To be honest I wish he was still playing for us. I always liked him.

But he missed a penalty on Saturday that would have made it 1-1 and might have made all the difference.

So who knows? tongue

Watching the Forrest game it was clear our striker is struggling to strike but it was also clear that Vaughan can win his fair share of knock downs.
In Honeyman, Mcmanaman and Williams we also have three players who look capable of goals so the answer may be there.

I would go Vaughan up top in front of Gooch Williams mcmansman. Ndong and Catts in front of Browning Kone Wilson Oviedo. Keep Ruiter to gain stability.

Well match day is almost upon us once again, i wonder what surprise Simon has in store for us tomorrow  (if any). I think Vaughan must play, he needs to get that first goal to kick start his season.
We really do need to get our injured back to fitness asap, will give everyone a boost.

Listen, I will say this only once

HULL TIGERS 1 V 3 THE MIGHTY MACKEMS

Cheer up, Sunders. You know what they say.

Some things in life are bad,

They can really make you mad.

Other things just make you swear and curse.

When you're chewing on life's gristle,

Don't grumble, give a whistle!

And this'll help things turn out for the best

And

Always look on the bright side of life!
Always look on the bright side of life

If life seems jolly rotten,

There's something you've forgotten!

And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing,

When you're feeling in the dumps,

Don't be silly chumps,

Just purse your lips and whistle -- that's the thing!

And always look on the bright side of life1

In the world of the long suffering Sunderland supporter the bright side of life really is, IMO, the only place to look. I am sitting today waiting for a phone call following Annettes latest hospital visit. The phone call will from our GP saying blood results back and either..

1. Tell Annette to stop taking ABC meds and to collect a replacement at chemists tomorrow

OR

2. The ambulance is on its way, blue lights and she is being admitted tonight.

Sunderland, regardless of results is a welcome escape.

Sunderland boss Simon Grayson could welcome Aiden McGeady back into the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] against Hull City tomorrow.
The Republic of Ireland winger has missed the last two games after impressing since signing from Everton, but could feature against the Tigers on Saturday.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] could also have Lamine Kone available again after the Ivory Coast defender came off at half-time in the 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United last weekend.
He also missed the defeat to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, but Grayson confirmed the pair were ‘in contention’ for tomorrow’s trip to the KCOM Stadium.

Sorry, couldn't paste it in.

A couple of the reasons for Hull fans being confident are a bit dubious of course as these things always are. If we show we want it we might just get it. No predictions from me though - mine are usually cursed.

This prediction with my sober head on. 4-1 to us. No doubt Seb will score a cracking free kick but expecting us to creat 5 chances and score 4 goals. No idea of scorers. Possibly a hat trick of own goals.

Probably our strongest team given the injuries. Let's hope Kone is back to his best, Vaughan breaks his duck and Williams and McManaman have blinders and chip in too Very Happy
