Could not agree more

Post  cyprussyd on 2017-09-11, 4:30 pm

@SkySports_Keith
Simon Grayson: "There is no crisis (at Sunderland). We remain a work in progress."

How many times has Grayson said it?

He is manager of our great club.

.. and bottom six is not a crisis?

The club must take collective responsibility for their manana policy.
We have been a work in progress for 10 years now.

..and we are back to where we started from. Does that logically mean that we have made no progress ??

Unfortunately and sad though it may be Silvers, we are only 'great' in the eyes of our own supporters.

Our 'great' years are behind us and we must accept the fact that at the moment we are a struggling Championship side, albeit with a dedicated following who have been sadly let down in recent years.

It's not time for a knee-jerk reaction as has happened at Palace today, we need to show patience and give Grayson time to sort the mess he inherited and no-one can deny it was an AWFUL mess!!

At the beginning of the season I was prepared to accept a mid-table finish and hopefully build on that and if I recall correctly, that was the view of quite a few supporters.

I still believe that Grayson will achieve that, so I don't have any cause for concern despite the bad start.

I too was happy with a mid table finish Argus but, the more we go on the more I'll be happy with survival. One positive I have managed to take from Saturday is, Grayson at his previous clubs always hit a patch of 8/9 games without a win maybe, we are going through that stage now.
Time to clutch some straws I reckon.

He was being worshipped a few weeks ago. A few bad results and he's public enemy number 1.

Its a long long season and imo Grayson and the players will get it right.

I expect a few people to be eating their words come the end of the season when we do a lot better than most of us expected prior to the season starting.

I can agree more.
Before a ball was kicked I predicted a mid table finish.
ATM I'd be happy with staying up.
