Prince George starts school!

Is it unfair to be disappointed that William taking his son to school for the first time was not wearing a tie?

I saw that, what a monstrous imbecile that headmistress is, I mean children can't possibly learn anything if they're wearing the wrong shade of grey! Evil or Very Mad

Sadly Dave, that's the way the country is going.
School children being treat like army recruits.
I bet none of them sent home were immigrant kids.
She wouldn't dare try it on with them or she'd be hauled in front of a tribunal before she could get her knickers on.
If my lad was subjected to that I'd raise merry hell with the bitch.

What did arsehole Nicky Cooper do?
Come out with a Dulux colour chart to check the bairns trousers?
"Oh, yours are too dark. Oh yours are too light, Yours are ok, you can come to lessons."
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Teachers should be subject to uniform rules as well imo.
If they want to run it like the military then let them wear it also.
Wonder if her thong was the right shade of black?
Slag.

Yesterday, my son & his half sister were put in inclusion.
Him for not having his shirt tucked into his trousers.
Nobody tucks their shirt in these days unless you're an owld tw*t that wears them pants where the waistband comes up to your chest.
Her for having a figure hugging skirt on ffs!!!!!!
She's 12 years old & thin as a pencil, she has no figure.
And if that arsehole thinks that then he's a f*cking pervert not fit to work with kids.
This is Tanfield school, do not send your kids there as it is ran by wankers.
Shame really as they have some bloody good teachers.
It's the cunts at the top, running the show that f*ck me off.
His mam has pasted it all over fyessbyuck.
Sorry for the rant but this stuff just fucks me off.  Evil or Very Mad

Donlt blame you, it really annoys me too.

Any school that has a 'leadership team' is always a concern. Whatever happened to good old fashioned HEAD TEACHERS and TEACHERS? The clue is in the job title. They are supposed to understand teaching and learning and child development, not policing uniforms.

This a sideshow that we go through every year at this time and it just distracts from every childs education. Or maybe it teaches the kids about adults who use their power to try and control every aspect of their students lives? No wonder so many get turned off education. Priorities are all wrong IMO.

Let all kids wear what they want for school and let teachers get on with teaching, so the kids can do what they are supposed to do in school, LEARN!

My grandson has just started school... my rant is not about uniform.. red sweatshirt white polo shirt grey trousers and black shoes as it happens.

Rather the summer birthday injustice. He has just turned 4 and is in a class with kids several months older than him. Now this is an issue that does need sorting
H
Ps The grandkids and my son are liviing with us (for now). I never thought at my age kids would stop me playing golf. I thought I had left that all behind

The birthday thing is an issue but there does have to be a cut off date somewhere and September 1st is as good as any given the school year we have in this country. And most schools have the younger ones start only half days for the first term and some of the september babies have their first term of half days in the summer term before full school starts in September. But yes it does mean some kids start school almost a year younger than their peers and at that age it makes a big difference.

My view is that we put children into 'big' school too soon in the UK anyway. Most countries don't start chldren in formal schooling until 6 or 7. Before that in kindergarten and nursery it is mostly play based activiies, so the age differences are more easily accommodated.

And yes, as we too found out, having children and grandchildren living with you puts a total dampener on your social life and outside activities! Laughing

Certainly I r3ckon as you say starting proper school at 7 would be better, nursery kindergarten before then...would help all.children. Peter is at School FT 8.45 to 3.15 my own view is he is not ready for it.

I was Chair of Governors of a high school for a number of years. It was recognised even then that summer birthday pupils did not do as well at GCSEs and A levels and consideration was being given to boosting marks. As far as I am aware nothing has happened

Ps I tuck my shirts in as well
