Just beat me to it

West Ham have put in a bid to sign Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong, with talks between the two clubs ongoing.

So why let him go, he is only 22 or 23 loads of potential and if someone like Assambolomga is worth £15m he is worth more

Open question to those whom watch live.

Can we advance without him?

My view from afar....At what point does SAFC draw a line in the sand & say no more. For me it has passed & we must stop selling our backbone for which without we'll never have the strength for our juniors to progress from in a less pressure filled environment.

He is an asset Short is an asset stripper he will go and probably for less than we got him for.

He has forged a really good partnership with Cattermole, can we do well without him, depends on who we get to replace him.

The thing is Talc, if asset stripping, you buy low, sell high so shouldn't we now in this case keep him unless the offer is far greater than that which we paid. As Syd said, having been watching it live, the forming of a potentially strong partnership with Cattermole whom we all know is going nowhere could be a far stronger asset than a few extra quid in the bank. Don't forget the rumour has Khazi gone.

He has played okay with Catts mate which is why he is either
A, got his act together
B, playing for a move
Just watched a bloke from The City talking about hedge fund managers and, basically they are guessing on the levels of debt a particular firm establishment etc. has to cream off what they can then bale out before the debt gets unmanageable. We paid about £13/14 mil for Ndong we will not get that for him now as a Championship club, mind you I didn't think Pickford would go for anything near £20 mil never mind the £30 mil we should get after the add ons kick in. Unfortunately it is the way we have worked since Short took over, happy days mate.

Cant agree with OK Talc IMO Catts and NDong have formed a far better than OK partnership.

Also think its more than imaginable that we will get more than 13 mil, Hull are a championship club, what did they get for Sam Clucas?

This will be Grayson's first test, he said we only sell if our valuation is met.
I don't share the majority view on Short and his mercenary reputation. We have all to often sold cheap but the blame IMO is the CeO in charge, Bain I believe is made of sterner stuff.
I'm also surprised that anyone is surprised, the names of players we thought would leave are Pickford, Lens, Khazri, Kone and NDong.
I also question West Hams motive, do they want NDong or are they using him to force through Cavelio?

WEST HAM CLOSE IN ON £40M CARVALHO
Good news for West Ham fans as talks have re-started about signing Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
Everyone at Sporting was focused on their crucial Champions League qualifier in Bucharest last night.
Sporting won easily, but Carvalho did not play, another clear sign that the Portuguese are preparing for his departure.
West Ham need to structure the deal so they get close to Sporting's £40m asking price.

Grayson keen to keep Ndong/Kone, but accepts there's a possibility they could leave this month. Insists it would be on [ltr]#safc[/ltr]'s terms, though
