Jermain Defoe admits frustration at substitute role as Eddie Howe insists striker isn't fit enough to start

Defoe is desperate to remain in the frame for a World Cup place next year having been brought back in to the England set-up last season

I remember Big Sam not playing Defoe much first half of 2015/16 season thinking he was too old to play regularly in the EPL. It wasn't until he did play him from January onwards that we started getting results and managed to stay up! Eddie Howe is playing a dangerous game.

But hopefully Defoe will get hacked off enough so perhaps we can loan him back? Very Happy
