When we win this League by Xmas

This quote from the Chronic says so much for me :-

(Bear in mind the previous few mins since the ko were wasted while their FB received treatment so it was a lightening quick score)

QUOTE : "The game was barely underway before Jack Hunt was receiving lengthy treatment. James Vaughan restarted the game with the right-back (Hunt) on the touchline and McGeady ran into the space he left behind to take the free-kick. Rather than thrash the ball across he lifted his head up and picked out George Honeyman.
The youngster showed a calmness so cool it made you shiver. He took a careful touch, allowing three defenders to get back towards the goalline former Black Cats goalkeeper Keiren Westwood had vacated to rush towards McGeady and threaded the ball into the net. The game was four minutes old but in terms of playing time, it was still in the seconds and already Grayson’s men were in front. It played into Sunderland’s hands perfectly. They could quite comfortably sit back, only picking off their hosts when decent opportunities to do so presented them. It might have been a risky tactic last season, but the remodelled defence is riding the crest of this wave of confidence, happy dealing with whatever the Championship throws at it."
"So cool it made you shiver"  - the lad seems to kill it off his knee. A wonderful combination of the oldman McGeady and the boy  Honeyman.  See Syd's video post of the goal on here. Look how he takes advantage of the time he has been given. It begs the question - "What's in store ?"
And look at Browning too !
Grays was obviously impressed because he gently reminds us we could have easily won if we had taken our chances. No hysterics, just calmly confident in public at least.
But like BSA and Pulis, a good defence is their cornerstone to build on, even if it is a dangerous tactic hitting on the break with SWed getting 63% possession like Norwich's 71%. OK - both were played away and that figure might come down, but it the forwards have a poor day, trouble is inevitable.
Too early, but have we got a Plan B, and when we win the league, how will we do in the Prem ?   Very Happy

I think that when we are crowned champions at Christmas our first target will be Newcastle who took a full season to do it.

However Short knows that promotion will mean investment so Grayson will be sacked and Moyes brought back to kill the party.
We will play two ineligible players, be fined, refuse to pay and points will be deducted.

Sanity will be restored, Moyes re-sacked and no, Grayson wont be brought back, to risky, he may well win all of the remaining games so maybe McMenemy will be re invented.
