Tommy Elphick

Post  cyprussyd on 2017-07-26, 8:55 am

Sunderland leading the race for Elphick
Sunderland are leading the race to sign Aston Villa centre-back Tommy Elphick.
Elphick, 29, was made captain when he joined Villa from Bournemouth a year ago for £3m.
Though Steve Bruce decided he was keen to move the 29 year-old on soon after his appointment last October and has been pushed further down the pecking order following the arrivals of John Terry and Christopher Samba.
Elphick was left out of Villa’s squad for their pre-season games in Germany and the Black Cats are in pole position to offer him a fresh start.
Birmingham and Leeds have also been plotting moves for Elphick.
Should his move go through, Elphick could be joined at the Stadium of Light by Villa teammate Ross McCormack, who is also a target for new Sunderland boss Simon Grayson.

Another one Grayson has worked with. I would really love to get him since Rednapp and Birmingam are after him as well  Laughing
