You'll regret it if you get him, very disruptive in the dressing room and not very good. Every club he's been at, the fans have been glad to see the back of him!

Hmm... the last thing we need is another disruptive influence!  His record on Wikipedia is 458 appearances with 156 goals so a one in three goal scorer is not bad. I get the feeling Grayson is a good man manager and he knows McCormack from their Leeds days so maybe not such a risk? finger cross

This is a non comment as I do not know enough about the player....so in general it does not always work to bring a "Bellemy" on board a man who regularly had punch-ups withbteam mates or himself if nobody else was around. Is McCormak like him?

At his best, a useful addition!

However, it is clear that Villa, having paid a ridiculous £12m for him, will want to recoup a substantial part of that figure if selling. This does not fit in with the club's new philosophy of buying players that will improve and raise their value at Sunderland. Even at say £6m, we are not going to recoup that investment. Even if, at his best, this is the quality required to get back to the Premiership he is certainly NOT good enough for the Premiership. If as Silvers suggests Villa cut their losses and dump for a small amount, then maybe worth it, provided Grayson is sure his attitude matches Grayson's expectations for all players.

Haha! Bruce is renowned for falling out with players too, Bent, Gyan for example and look what that did to the team.

McCormack may not be a saint, but wouldn't judge him on a relationship with Bruce!

I took an interest in him as we (Norwich) were in for him from Cardiff. All the Cardiff fans said "Don't go near him, he's trouble both on and off the pitch" . Leeds fans also said the same, one of his "tricks" is to put in a transfer request every seaqson, hoping to improve his wages.

I am inclined to say he does seem to have a chip on his shoulder. So not the ethos that Grayson wants?
