Be happy, you were right

For most of last season many told me we would be going down and some even said it was needed for that fresh start.

Well you were right and the fresh start is here and it excites me.

We have a manager who some seem to think is beneath the mighty Sunderland but after the big names with little money we seem to have a manager who wants to be Sunderland manager and gets what it's all about, he will do for me.

Some of the players are gone and others who let us down in the premiership may just thrive in the championship.

Early signs are that the manager will be bringing in the players who can form a team and yes Sunders he knows we need strikers, well we have for some years and I am confident we will get them.

But the big plus is we have a manager who will not be afraid to make men of the kids.

I don't expect to win every game or even go up first time of asking, TBH that could be a bad move, will we still suffer from lack of the investment needed for the premiership.

I do however expect a good season and a hard working team who I will enjoy watching.

So come on, get excited and get posting.

I get the same excitement as ever syd going to a few friendlies this time around but, will definitely be picking and choosing the games I go to this time around.
We've been seriously let down by the entire squad save 2/3 players and with the pay cut they will have had to submit to I'm not holding my breath that they won't do it again. The only way we will see an improvement is by getting in new players and shedding the old dross instead of giving them one year extensions.

Thankfully I've done both"
