Pretty sure Gradel did his cruciate ligament in August 2015, not long after signing for Bournemouth. Maybe never got back to full fitness and then got 'overtaken' by other players coming through? Bournemouth had a good season last year and Eddie Howe is not one to change his line up for the sake of it.

I just wish it was sorted cos he may just be the type of player who feels they have something to prove. If he gets back to his 'player of the season' form that he had back in the day at Leeds (under Grayson as manager) I, and most other SAFC fans surely, would be WELL happy!

I think with all of Grayson's targets we need to accept Graysons limitations in targets and trust him.

We cant fish in the big pool because we don't have the cash so we need..

Young legs with potential, the two lads from Everton and our young players.
Good experience with risk, McCready and Gradle with injury risks but who Grayson knows so we trust his judgement.
Experienced pros, OShea and Gibson are two plus dare I say it, Catts
The X factor who I hope will be Khazri

BURY have rejected a third bid for star striker James Vaughan, while Middlesbrough are chasing youngster George Miller.
The Shakers turned down two bids for Vaughan from a Championship club last month – the highest being £500,000.
And a third offer, believed to be from Sunderland, has been knocked back this week as Bury prepare to gamble on keeping the 28-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract.

Not clear what bid Bury saying they've knocked back, but I'd doubt it was [ltr]#safc[/ltr]'s latest. Last I heard, clubs were close to agreeing a fee

Sunderland told to meet Bury's valuation of striker James Vaughan
Last Updated: Thu, 13 Jul 2017 10:26

Sunderland have been warned they will not get Bury striker James Vaughan on the cheap.

Black Cats boss Simon Grayson has confirmed the club is in talks with the Shakers over the 28-year-old former Everton frontman.

However, Bury have already rejected three bids for the player from Sky Bet Championship clubs and are refusing to sell unless their valuation is met.

Manager Lee Clark told the Bury Times: "Another bid from a Championship club has been turned down since we came away [to a training camp in Marbella]. It did not meet the valuation we have for James.

"We don't want to sell him and no matter what, we won't be selling him to another League One club.

"If James wants to go to a club that is in a higher division, then that's up to James, but his valuation must be met. We made that perfectly clear to James, he has given us his feedback and there are no issues."
