Pickford starred for Sunderland last season as they slid out of the Premier League.

The England star shone between the sticks - but the Black Cats still finished bottom of the pile.
He’s not likely to stick around next season in the Championship.
And The Sun report a battle for his services is in store.
They claim Everton were leading the way in the race to get him.
Ronald Koeman needs a new No.1 with Maarten Stekelenburg and Joel Robles failing to impress
Everton were said to be at the front of the queue with West Ham and even Newcastle interested.
But [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] are now ready to hijack the Toffees’ move.
Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on getting Pickford in and preparing him as Petr Cech’s long-term successor.
David Ospina looks to be off to Fenerbahce and Wojciech Szczesny may join Juventus.

That leaves space for a new man to compete with Cech.
Cech joined from Chelsea two years ago but at 35 is in the twilight of his career.
Pickford is on England U21 duty at the European Championships this summer.
And he’s put talk over his future on hold until the end of the tournament.
He said: “I just want to concentrate on the Euros and be the best I can be.
“I’ll see where it takes me.”

If he has to go then Arsenal would be a good club for him. Wenger plays his second keeper in the cups and sometimes even in Europe so that would be good for Pickford rather than being on the bench all the time. I just cannot see him going to any of the top 6 and being first choice at the minute so the Arsenal option may suit him best. So Arsene, £30m and he is yours Laughing Laughing Laughing

(But would love him to stay with us if there is any way he could!)
