Vultures are circling

Post  oldblackcat on 2017-06-10, 11:26 pm

Just read Arsenal are reported to be about to bid £5 million for youngsters Joel Asoro and Benjamin Mgunga Kimpioka (both Swedes
apparently) in our U23 squad.....surely if a club like Arsenal want these two now we should be holding on to them? Would £5 million be a good fee now? If we hold on to them now and they are a success, surely we would get more for them in the future? Plus whats the point of selling youngsters when we would have to buy to fill out our squad and £5 million wouldn't get much, if anything would it?

Asoro has  said he'll hav  to see if th  new manager likes him, he can't stay in the under 23s forever. Does he think hi  chance  at Arsenal are better?

If I remember rightly we have Asoro on a five year contract so can maybe afford to wait and bring him with a sale in mind.  He had plenty of offers at the time but chose us and I wonder if Larsson had a hand in that.
