Monk resigns

Post  Argus on 2017-05-25, 1:52 pm

Garry Monk has resigned from his position as head coach of Leeds United just two days after Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani completed his takeover of the Championship club.
Monk was appointed last summer and guided Leeds to seventh in the table.
It had been expected that the 38-year-old would sign a new deal following the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A statement said: "While we are deeply saddened by Garry's decision, there is no individual bigger than our club.

Well, that's another one of our 'hot tips' freely available without compensation.

The plot thickens.

Interesting to discover the reason for his decision to leave.

Was it a difference with the new owner over transfer funds, because if that's the case he won't be heading our way.

Whenever he's interviewed he always comes across as a level headed young man with a pleasant manner and a good understanding of what is required to be successful.

He's one individual who won't be on the unemployed list for long, I'm sure.

Nice man but not above average managerial skills I feel!

I wouldn't say no but there's a few clubs after managers at the moment and some of them are in the Premiership. He's done well at Leeds and built up some momentum until slipping at the last. Can Sunderland offer more potential than Leeds at the moment? Debatable. What about 'Boro & Hull if we stick to Championship clubs. What's the best bet for him because I think he'll be snapped up?

Theres a vacancy at Palace is there not?
Gibson would be a more attractive proposition than Ellis as well so I can see Boro being ahead of us.Having said that yup I would have him here as manager.

Good luck to you (not as much as to us of course). I think if we'd made that appointment they'd have been alot more trepidation. Should be ineresting anyway.
