I am not advocating an eye for an eye, but we need to let these terrorists know ' you hurt us we hurt you ' seems the only language they know.

Death penalty for engaging in terrorism would be a start.

I disagree, executions just make martyrs and they want to die anyway. And the ones we succeeed in capturing are often just the foot soldiers. You never see the 'masterminds' being caught with explosives because they are too clever to implicate themselves. They are good at ordering youngsters to die for the cause, but ultimately they seek power in this life, and are too cowardly to put their own lives at risk.

Anyway no way is an eye for an eye justice - that makes us no better than barbarians ourselves. We have to keep the moral high ground, especially given past (and present) Western governments have not covered themselves in glory in respect of their historical, and current, behaviour and actions in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

As an example of why I don't believe capital punishment is the answer consider the case of Nelson Mandela. Thatcher and her government said he was a terrorist and so did the South African regiime. Should he have been executed for his beliefs and the actions of the ANC?

No, the solutions are not simple, I am very sad to say Crying or Very sad

I have always been and still am against the death penalty and cant see how it would affect a suicide bomber.

I am not just talking about the bomber, i also include anyone employed in transport, the bomb maker, and anyone assossiated by cell member. It's the whole neteork involved in any attack. Like i said drastic measures.

The chiefs have realised the fight against terror isn't working, well us indians have known this for a long time.

Hearing the news over here the Father appears totally at fault.  He gets his sons away from drug ridden gang-run Manchester back to Libya in an effort to save them and now this happens.

The world is to blame and that is run by the politicians and money-men.  Lets all attack Wall Street and Washington, but somebody has already tried that.
