50 years plus

Post  cyprussyd on 2017-05-23, 10:39 am

Many of us on here have followed Sunderland for over half a century and by have we seen some dire times but have we ever seen things this bad.

Everything about our club is a mess, owner who wants out, CeO still tainted through his Rangers days, a team that is bad in just about every way, quality, numbers, age, moral, commitment. A manager who seems to have left us mentally some months ago, debts that are crippling us.

The heart and soul has been ripped from the club and now we, the fans are being trampled into the ground.

Right now there are a number of managers jobs up  for grabs, who in their right minds would pick us as first choice.

Keeping the Faith right now is proving to be extremely difficult but at least it's still easy to FTM.

I feel your pain Syd, I really do, I'd like to say things will get easier but I'm not sure they will when you have such a non-interested owner, I think for Sunderland to move on, Short has to go!

one great thing about the club is the fantastic fans the very best anywhere in the world, turn out in masses even now. Will this be the season the straw finally breaks the camels back? Lots of fans may well turn their backs on SAFC.

For the attention of Canary Dave:

I said it a while back. I reckon we'll end up with Neil Adams. What do you reckon the chances of him doing Sunderland some good?

Neil Adams is a lovely man who managed our u18 side that won the FA Youth cup, sadly left floundering when he replace Chris Hughton.

Alex Neil has the makings of a good manager, he made some mistakes with high-fee transfers and kept playing them to try and justify the fees. If that can be ironed out of his play, he could be very successful!

Keep right on to the end of the road, keep right on to end.
It's been a hell of a journey and it's not finished yet, what a magic carpet ride.
