Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers signed Borini when he was in charge of Liverpool back in 2012.
And the Northern Irishman is keen to link up with the 26-year-old once again.
According to the Telegraph, Celtic are preparing a £6m offer for Borini, who is free to leave Sunderland

Must admit I was a happy bunny when we got him and I shall be eternally grateful for the goals against our great unwashed cousins from the dark side but it deffo hasnt worked out for him Although a loss £6 is better than I expected.
