Sunderland boss David Moyes is plotting the best way to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.

According to a report in The Sun, David Moyes has demanded a completely new squad at Sunderland to stay on.

Sunderland boss Moyes’ future came into doubt in recent weeks, following the North East based side’s relegation.

However, Moyes has agreed to stay on at Sunderland - as he looks to guide them back into the Premier League.

To do so the Scottish boss wants Sunderland to have a major overhaul of their first-team squad next season.

Moyes reportedly wants to change his entire starting line-up at Sunderland, with many of his better performers set to leave this summer.

The likes of Jordan Pickford, Lamine Kone and Jermain Defoe are all set to leave Sunderland, in search of a new team.

And Moyes feels that Sunderland need a whole host of new players to ensure they are ready to compete for promotion.

The Black Cats are now reportedly intending to be hugely active in the summer transfer window, as they look to get back to the top flight at the first time of asking.
