Thank God it's over

Post  Rovertsafc on Mon May 01, 2017 10:34 am

Well I'm not down trodden,as I was resigned to relegation well before xmas.
So for me thank god it is now done and dusted.
I have bought my new season ticket and I am already looking forward to the new season.
If Moyes is in charge I will give him five games and if we are still playing the same crock of shite then I will be calling for his head.
Yes he is dour and does he have the motivation skills to inspire the new team we shall wait and see.
I think he was given a poison chalice at the start of his job with us and the injuries we have had all season.
But one thing for sure he has to stop bringing in his mates from his Everton days.
Get back to bringing on young players with a good mixture of oldish heads.
Keep the players that should be the back bone of the team ie Pickford,Cattermole,Jones,Anichibe,Papy,Oviedo,Gooch,Watmore,Honeyman.
I will be there next season will you be.

I think it was probably  a case of beggars can't be choosers when he was told to shop in poundland...

I don't know what to say other than I'm genuinely sorry you've been relagated.  You're good natured fans and will be missed in the premiership.  Hopefully not for long. Smile

For what it's worth there are nine pages about Sunderland going down on a City forum that I sometimes post on.  The compliments about the Makems are flowing!!!

Good luck for the future and best Wishes.

Do you know Syd, I think I know where you are coming from.  I still look back on what I call our yoyo years with fondness.  We came back from the third tier against Gillingham at Wembley by the skin of our teeth, it was one of the best games of my life and seemed to revitalise everybody at the club.

I'm still convinced that if we hadn't gone down to the 1st Div we would now still be languishing at the bottom of the Championship.  We certainly wouldn't have been bought by Mansoor.

Hope to see you back in 12 months,  I'll pop up and have a pint Wink

The playetsfrom Everton are the only ones that would sign that's why they come in. No need to worry about any signings, short Would have a heart attack if he spent anything. We are going to be relying on the u23's. It's going to get worse before it gets better, if it ever does get better.
