WEST HAM REVIVE INTEREST IN 9-CAP INTERNATIONAL, DEAL MORE REALISTIC NOW

West Ham fans here in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for 2016/17 to come to an end, with their beloved Hammers having certainly not enjoyed the current campaign.
A number of issues have beset the Irons, including losing key man Dimitri Payet in January, and relegation to the Championship remains a worry, albeit a weekend win over Swansea has eased concerns.
There is, however, some excitement among fans as the transfer window approaches and the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] are reporting that Lamine Kone is once again a target for the club.

Neither occasion yielded a successful swoop, but with David Moyes’ Black Cats now all but condemned to relegation – they’re eight points from safety and rock-bottom of the Premier League – a move for Kone is much more realistic with the nine-cap Ivory Coast international unlikely to hang around should they drop to the second tier.
Bolstering their defence remains a priority for West Ham despite the January arrival of Jose Fonte, with the London Stadium side having shipped 57 goals this term – only Swansea, Hull and Bournemouth have a worse record.

I would say unlikely to hang around even if we somehow escape

London PL club next season and first team football so £10 mil and he'll be gone too cheaply for me but gone nonetheless. All the players will start performing now as they will be looking for a new club, too late for us unfortunately and, those at the club losing their jobs.

Had a quick look at some of the goals he was concerned in conceding and the one that struck me was the Leics game where he was too easily nudged/pushed off the ball for goal one and he stopped running for goal two pass to Vardy which he could possibly have cut out.  It makes me appreciate the honesty of JOS more than ever now.

We showed faith in him with a new contract before Everton came in for him and he repays us with this  He is a liability now.
