Syd, you've only booked me in for two nights, is it possible to change it?

Syd, I don't want you to think I'm moaning but for two nights it was £35 per night but one more night adds another £100. if that's what it is then OK  like

Sorry about late reply but internet is in short supply here! And even more sorry Dave and others, but Mr H has got us tickets to the Open for that weekend so we won't be able to attend the royal visit. The tickets were part of my 60th birthday present last year as has always been on my bucket list. Being at Royal Birkdale this year it is very near some friends in Liverpool, who have invited us to stay with them for the duration. I am really excited about going and seeing all the great professionals I watch on TV all the time. I am sure you understand but I am quite disappointed that the dates clashed since I could not get away last time either  Crying or Very sad

Not to worry H, we'll try again next year (God willing)!

I hope you enjoy Mark Twain's idea of a good walk wasted!  Very Happy

Oh no, we are away that weekend too! Going to the MLE Fireworks Championships at Stanford Hall, near Rugby.

Don't know what plans are for the daytimes but if there are no fixed plans yet we could pop in on our way south and meet up for a light lunch or even just for a coffee and cake, on the Friday, possibly at the Glass Centre? Or anywhere near to the A1 or A19? At least we would get to say hello! Very Happy

Well Dave's visit is near and one slight change.

I will be collecting Dave from Durham station on Thursday July 27th and we will probably have a quiet dinner in or around the hotel.
Friday evening I suspect will be our traditional dinner with Mr & Mrs Jinx
Saturday is now football day with tickets bought for the game against Celtic, a day I am very much looking forward to. Yes we can ask about team and manager or we can just enjoy the occasion regardless of any of the above. For me its sod players and manager its all about enjoying a day at the footie with my good friend Dave.
Saturday evening will be our annual night out and for sure there will be 4 of us thereat least.

If you want to join us let us know and we will arrange a venue.
