It seems not quite so sad when they have lived a good life, but all these 'young' stars that have been taken in 2016 is very hard to bear.

RIP Liz Smith - I am sure Caroline Aherne will be happy to meet up with her 'nana' again Sad

Forget the Royle's as her crowning glory as she was one of those actresses that could raise the level of any show that she acted in.  For me the best ever was when she was the mother(?) in the one with Uncle Mort in, can't remember the name but he and her were almost telepathic with brilliant Northern humour.
