Aleppo & Yemen

Post  cyprussyd on 2016-12-15, 11:00 am

If ever there was a definition of hell on earth surely Aleppo and the Yemen are it.

As the world prepares to celebrate Christmas, turkey and all the trimmings, excited faces opening presents, dozing in the chair with the Queen talking to herself on the telly, peace and love all round.

In Aleppo and the Yemen parents will simpley hope for clean water, basic food and life.

At 68 I'm at the end of life, not literally this year I hope but certainly nearer death than birth, I cant say I will be sad about leaving this god awful world behind, what a mess we sre making of it.

But I still scratch my head and ask myself how, how can a world so rich in so many ways alow hunger, poverty and death go on and how can Aleppo and the Yemen be happening in 2016, indeed on the verge of 2017.

Very sad in Coxhoe

Sadly and worrying you may well be correct.

I feel the same way Syd. It is heartbreaking and horrifying what a mess this world is in and the suffering being caused by a few men seeking power at any cost. Words fail me, they really do  Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Are the current Governments really any different to those which the current individuals grew up with.
