BBC reporting:

Bruce is now odds-on favourite with some bookmakers to return to former club Sunderland and replace Allardyce, if as expected he becomes England boss.

Please no. Surely not. Id rather have Roy Keane.

I can't understand why anyone in their right mind could believe this  Why on earth would  Bruce or anyone else for that matter want to return to a club where the fans hounded him out with some terrible abuse.

Bruce left Hull because relationships were strained and he wanted some guarantees about money available etc. As he didn't get this, then he doesn't want another relegation on his CV. Don't get why the bookies think he'd come to us or why we'd have him though.

Its an easy link for the bookies but there are many reasons  its a none starter and Vinkles point about the disgraceful abuse is a key one.ny reasons why

Let's not forget (i) he suffered some awful and perhaps unjustified personal attacks towards the end of his tenure and (ii) he has since reiterated that Newcastle was always his 1st love.

He is certainly entitled to voice his opinion but it certainly won't endear him to SAFC fans and there's more chance of Guardiola turning his back on City to join us than Steve Bruce returning.
