Anyone tried to build a decent team ready for kick off?

It seems really hard this year as the prices of each player seems inflated from last year but the bidet has stayed the same at £100m.

I originally just did an auto pick to get my team entered into the league, but trying to transfer in the players I want is proving impossibe as they are all too expensive.

Looks like I will have to risk a few Burnley/Boro/Hull players as they are 'unknowns' so are cheaper  tongue

Sure that once Nick finishes his last day at work tomorrow before retiring, he'll find some time to put a team in as well

Anyone else want to join in to mackemneil's Fantasy League? Only a day left to add the final 3 players we need for the Sundermad head to head league.

If you are a newbie to Fantasy League and need help to get started just post on here and Neil, or me, or any of the 'old hands', will be only too happy to help  Very Happy

Hope we have a full league but I can't get onto the site to check, or even look at my own team (a bit groggy this morning as stayed up watching Olympics till 3am!). I guess 3 million players are all trying to do last minute changes  tongue

FANTASY 2017 - 18

I also do the D Telegraph which only gives you £50m with players correspondingly cheaper, BUT you only need 11 and you have full control over your formation, eg 4-3-3, 0r 4-5-1, 0r 3-4-3, etc. The downside is you have no bench so if you have last minute injuries or those foreign managers pratting about with their 11, then you can play with 9 or 10 if you are lucky. The up side is you can have Aguerro + Kane + Lukaku up front, but you might have to have our Syd in goal. PS the money prizes are OK.

I know Wot you mean about this Season and I thought these 15 costing the full £100m would give me a starter for 10, time to register and plenty time to fiddle about with changes without penalty :

1. GK's x 2 = Pickford + Elliott. Plenty to chose from and it looks as tho Elliott will have to be replaced by say, Heaton at extra £0.5m to be found by the chairman.

2. DEF's x 5 =  Azpilcueta + Valencia (ManU) + Baines + Kompany + Blind.

3. MF's x 5 =  Lallana + Kante + Wanyama + Alli (Spurs) + Willian.

4. Strikers x3  =  Kane + Rooney + Gayle (N/c)

Who knows ? Will Kane do his usual season by not scoring until Guy Fawkes night and will Defoe lie in bed for the rest of the season after Xmas dinner ?

I find you must look for the ones the judges love even if they are crap. Kante was everybody's player of the year but only got half the points of say, Sanchez.

Surely Rooney is worth 10-15 goals, if played up front ? Can I do without Hazard this year ?

I need the cheapest plodder on the bench, like Fletcher last year at WBA (now Stoke) - plays every game but never does nowt except get 2 points per game - Carrick ?

You know that Chelsea and ManU are going to concentrate on defence and that ManC and L'pool don't.

And on it goes, round and round.

BUT PLEASE don't forget, if you register now you can change any part of your team as long you do it before deadline day, 11 Aug 18:45
