Anyone else getting jittery?

Post  cyprussyd on 2016-06-13, 10:01 am

The shootings in Orlando are made all the worse because it was an attack, it seems, purely based on sexuality.

I then take a look around,

Terrorist attacks an everyday event in some parts of the world.
The rise and popularity of Trump in the States
The rise of ultra far right parties and groups around the world.
Migrants stuck in camps living in intolerable conditions
Children just disappearing
The gap between the halves and halve not's growing
Concerns about immigration turning to naked racism

I find it all very scary, a tinder box ready to be ignited.

The whole world is restless and unstable...

I don't know what the answer is.

24 hour news services have to fill in their time so report anything they don't know first then spend days speculating until the truth is out which is, more often than not, nowhere near what they and their expert contributors have frightened folks with.

I found it much easier a number of years ago to just turn it off & just catch up if time permits.

My heart will always go out to those suffering from the actions of others whom were only going about their own business but have suffered at the hands of those whom value others as worthless.

I  too wouldn't be here but for the grace of God or to some just plain old good luck.
