Yep, I agree. Young and probably cheap and Moyes will know him. I think he might go for Will Keane as well.

Youngsters who need to restart their stalled careers have to be the way forward if we are not wiling to spend stupid money like everyone else seems to be!

Totally agree H,the big boys have gone away from bringing youth through and that's why it has become a rat race in the transfer market.
Since Blackburn won the league all those years ago, that is when chairman's have bought the prem league title except for leicester, they will probably be fighting relegation this season

Not overly excited by this. Canny player but would play Lens before him.
But Lens has been abysmal in pre season

Lens was awful during the season as well
My opinion is there is a very skilful player there, as he showed in touches last season, just waiting to burst thru.

Why not give our own a chance as opposed to buying other teams cast offs?

To be honest I dont know much about the lad but when will our lads get a chance?

The Echo seems very bullish about Moyes chasing his targets. Plus M'Vila the transfer of which seems to be in suspended animation

Just read Luke Garbutt has not been given a squad number at Everton. He deputised very ably at left back when Baines and Oviedo were both injured, but rumours abound that he fell out significantly with Martinez, and apparently the club as well, since Koeman does not want to keep him.

Don't know what the problem was (probably felt he deserved to keep his place when the others came back) but he was considered an excellent prospect and would be good competition for PVA.

I know we have a young LB in Thomas Robson though, so maybe Moyes will see other positions as higher priorities.

But I am sure I am not alone in thinking we need more bodies, and quickly! What a Face

And Sunders there we have the problem of Sunderland.
We hear that Pinnarr is training with us and cant wait to jump on the club and shorts back.
We read that we want Benteke and cat wait to dismiss it.

I understand that but maybe we are at last showing ambition.

Moyes really could take his pick of jobs so maybe he really is here to move us forward.

Well, the squad which ended last season on a high, did wonderfully well since January.

My fear is that Short thinks that the squad is of  'sufficient' quality to survive.

Our summer budget is usually about 20m.

In the past we have bought 10 players with that (..LOL..)  perhaps this time we will splash the lot on just one 'quality' player ?

If short thinks the team is good enough without additions.
We still need mvillia and yedlin
Otherwise we have gone backwards

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho is in demand, with his proposed move to West Brom under threat due to late interest from Sunderland, HITC report.

The Senegalese centre forward is being tipped to leave the Hammers this summer after a souring of his relationship with Salven Bilic and the club.

Sakho felt affronted after being left out of the West Ham team to face Arsenal late last season and the furore over the London club’s efforts to sign a new striker this summer have seen him ostracised.

West Brom are believed to have and a £15 million offer for the African attacker accepted by West Ham, with talk that the attacker was to undergo a medical at the Hawthorns.

However, Sunderland are ready to challenge the Baggies for Sakho’s services and could give the forward another potential option over his new destination.

Sam Allardyce’s exit from the Stadium of Light was said to have ended Sunderland’s interest in the West Ham star, but the Wearside club could well reenter the fray under David Moyes.

Latest news on BBC website is that Sakho's move to West Brom is off.after the medical. Pat Murphy BBC's Midlands reporter later says
'As I understand it, Diafra Sakho didn't fail last night's medical - BUT he wouldn't have been fully fit for the start of the season and West Brom would've expected their record signing to hit the ground running.
The club now looking urgently at other strikers. So Saido Berahino going nowhere until West Brom get a new striker in.'

I think quite a lot is happening TBH.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the lost weeks when the FA courted Sam.
We conveniently forget that Moyes has been at his desk for 4 days.

We forget that selling the area to players seems hard.

I'm sure we could have had a dozen players in by now if De Fanti was here.
