Sinclair suggests DiCanio for West Ham

Trevor Sinclair has suggested on social networking site Twitter that former Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio would be a good managerial appointment for West Ham United.
Sinclair, a former West Ham winger, has pointed out that Di Canio knows the club well, having played for the London outfit from 1999 to 2003.
The 42-year-old former England international has also suggested that Slaven Bilic would be a good appointment for the Hammers.

Bilic will be many West Ham fans’ choice, but Sinclair’s suggestion that Di Canio should be made the manager is probably not going to be too popular among the supporters.

The Italian has managed Swindon Town and Sunderland, but on both occasions his departure has been rather abrupt and messy.
Di Canio resigned as Swindon boss in February 2013 due to differences in opinion over transfers with the club, as reported by BBC Sport.
The 46-year-old former Italian forward was then appointed the Sunderland boss, but he was dismissed by the Premier League outfit in September 2013 following a run of poor results.

West Ham are looking for a manager who can take them to a higher level, with the club planning to make themselves regulars in Europe in the coming years.
Although Di Canio has Premier League experience, he is a controversial figure and has not done enough in his managerial career to suggest that he can guide the Hammers to a brighter future.
