What is more to the point is did any of them deserve it? Not in my book but they are victims of short term thinking and being managers of teams they have not assembled/built.

Steve McClaren:
Could have joined Newcastle but stayed loyal, o much for loyalty

Nigel Clough:
Finished 5th in a tough league and only lost out on the lottery of penalties

Sam Allardyce
Took a failing club and gave them stability and relative success

He won the Champions League, Super Cup & Copa del Rey, but Carlo Ancelotti has been sacked as Real Madrid manager.
Say it all

Presumably they all leave with their contracts paid up and can move onto where they will be taken or needed as none of them deserved the bullet so I doubt if any of them will be on the bread line.

It grieves me that football has come to this when managers and players, decent or not, will always end up with a good nest egg and could even be multi millionaires whenever they "retire".
