A short January Blog

General Election, we have take off
We are 1 day into the General Election campaign and I am bored already.

Dave says Eds figures are wrong and leave him short on his promises.

Ed says dont trust Dave who just lies about his figures.

Nick said you cant trust either of them but you can trust him and he will work with anyone who will give him a job.

Nigel is saying nothing because he has bigger fish to fry, he is attempting dry January.

Nicola says vote for them to give extra power to Scotland by getting a stronger voice in England.

Ed promises thousands of people knocking on doors to have a conversation, hope they dont come when Emmerdale is on.

I'm sure Dave will promise people ringing door bells, they don't do knocking, that would make them sound like poor people. They will ask, when you answer, if the master is at home mistaking you for the butler.

Nick will agree to door knocking or bell ringing providing you give him a job.

Nigel will have meetings in local pubs, after January of course.

I am putting a light hearted spin on it but really its not funny, I don't trust any of them, hate the negative thing, will be voting but still have no idea who for.

I cant go along with the line, well they are not that good but they are better than the others, I think I deserve good.

We are talking about us, our future, our present and our children's present and future. That seems far to important to be playing party politics with.

I cant get my head round the pickle we are in. Food banks, a crumbling NHS, people suffering to pay for their basic shopping, zero hour contracts, an unyielding attack on the poor and vulnerable.

You would expect that to make Labour a certainty to win but we have no idea who will win and a hung parliament seems the most likely outcome, what does that tell us about the strength and faith in Labour?

I have no answers just head scratching problems and we have a few months of this ahead.

Never mind, nearly Emmerdale time.
