Tim Krul to miss TEN games as Newcastle's injury list becomes critical, is the tide turning our way?

Could it be 3-0 again?

or

Is it payback time?

TYNE-WEAR DERBY SOLD OUT

Sunderland AFC has sold out of its allocation of tickets for the forthcoming Tyne-Wear derby.

Supporters with a valid match ticket, who wish to use the complimentary coaches provided by SAFC are advised they must request their pass in advance from the Stadium of Light ticket office, or by calling 0191 5515004 between 10am and 4pm, Monday-Friday. Coach passes will be posted out in advance of the game.
The free bus service, which affords, the quickest and safest method will depart from the Green Car Park area at the Stadium of Light, which is located next to the ticket office/Black Cat House. Further details regarding the time of departure will be confirmed in due course.
Sunderland AFC head of safety Paul Weir, said: “Public transport will be extremely busy throughout the festive period and club’s complimentary bus service affords both the safest and quickest way for fans to make the journey to and from St James’ Park.
“Supporters who used the buses last season were very positive about the experience, in particular how quickly they returned to the Stadium of Light after the game. We would therefore urge fans to take advantage of this free service wherever possible.”

The East Stand concourse at the Stadium of Light will be open from 10:30am for the comfort of supporters using the bus service. Catering services will be available, along with toilet facilities, until the buses depart

To be honest it's very difficult to predict our results one day world beaters the next panel beaters but, if the nags start to suffer as we are led to believe from an ever increasing injury list then we have a better than average chance of getting something from them and maybe even beating them.
0-3 would be excellent 1-1 would be fine but I have a sneaking suspicion that they will win this one hope I'm wrong mind.

NEWCASTLE V SUNDERLAND THE MATCH DAY THREAD Empty Derby Day Travel.

Post  cyprussyd on 2014-12-10, 9:55 am

Supporters are reminded that a complimentary bus service is available to all Sunderland fans travelling to St James’ Park for the Tyne-Wear derby.
The buses, which depart from the Stadium of Light, will take fans directly to and from to St James’ Park, affording the quickest and safest travel option for those attending the game.
With the fixture taking place only four days before Christmas, public transport across the region is expected to be exceptionally busy and there will be no special Metro services operating. To avoid any delays or issues in getting to the game, fans are strongly advised to take advantage of the free bus service provided by Sunderland AFC.
Supporters with a valid match ticket, who have not yet requested a ticket for the bus service, should call the Stadium of Light ticket office on 0191 5515004 between 10am and 5pm Monday-Friday, to request their bus ticket, which will then be posted out to them.
Buses are scheduled to depart from the Stadium of Light at 11:15am on Sunday, to ensure that supporters arrive at St James’ Park in good time for the 1:30pm kick off. Buses will board from 10:30am in the Green Car Park, located next to the ticket office/Black Cat House. The bus convoy will follow the most direct route on the day and will be escorted by Northumbria Police for the duration of its journey to and from the stadium.
The east stand concourse at the Stadium of Light will be open for the comfort of supporters from 10am. Catering services and toilet facilities will be available until the buses depart.
Sunderland AFC head of safety Paul Weir, said: “We want to aim to ensure that supporters get to the game on time and the complimentary bus service most definitely affords the safest and quickest way for Sunderland fans to make the journey to and from St James’ Park.

“Due to the festive season there will be additional strain on public transport and we would urge fans to consider using the SAFC bus service wherever possible, to ensure they can get to and from the game quickly and safely.”

No ticket for the derby? No problem.
SAFC supporters can stay on home turf for the forthcoming Tyne-Wear derby – even though their team are playing away.
On Sunday December 21, the Stadium of Light will be opening its doors to fans unable to make the trip to see the Black Cats battle the Magpies at Newcastle’s St James’ Park.
Those who choose to stay south of the River Tyne can enjoy all the build up to the big game, with a range of hospitality packages available from 9am.
This includes the First Floor Package, with a breakfast roll and access to Quinn’s Sports Bar, Montgomery Suite or Business Lounge and the Premier Suites package, including allocated seating and a full English breakfast, all packages include a complimentary drink on arrival.
For those who prefer to soak up the atmosphere in private, the Stadium of Light is also offering use of an executive box with access to a private balcony and a full English breakfast for each guest.
These packages, are priced at £7.50, £16.50 and £27.50, respectively.
The match itself will be shown on screens inside the stadium, with kick off taking place at 1.30pm.
After the game the stadium bar will remain open until 4pm.
Tickets for the NUFC screening at the Stadium of Light are strictly limited and must be booked in advance by calling 0871 911 1555 or emailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Standard tickets are also available to purchase from Stadium of Light Ticket Office.

Well all eyes now turn the the derby next Sunday, who will win, how long is a piece of string.

Newcastle have lost badly today looking at the result but they played OK.

Pildrew has some tough decisions to make on Wednesday when they travel to Spurs for the quarter finals of the Cup, does he risk going out this late with a weak team or does he risk injuries and a sending off before the derby?

No such problems for Gus, a full week to concentrate on a win, but will he?
